Summer Riding Camp
Soniador Equestrian Centre summer riding camp is a great way to introduce children to equestrianism. In our program the children get a good sense of the dynamics and requirements of equestrianism, putting them in a better position to decide their future in the sport.
The program is offered to children between the ages of 5 and 14. Children with no experience as well as more advanced riders will be able to participate. A $100.00 deposit per week is due upon booking with the balance of $200.00 being due on the Monday of the week booked.
This price includes GST and a tax receipt will be available.
Campers need to bring their own lunch and drinks in a cooler. Campers should also bring a swimsuit and a towel, long pants and boots with a heel to ride in, sunscreen and appropriate weather clothes.
We supply CSA approved riding helmets. All children must wear a helmet and proper foot gear.
- Children ride twice a day, once in an instructed lesson and once in a fun ride.
- There are 30 quiet school horses for the children to ride.
- All beginners receive one on one instructions.
- Children will learn about horse care and horseback riding in the classroom.
- The lessons are designed to suit the age of the student and experience.
- Each child will be responsible for the care of a horse, including cleaning and feeding under the supervision of a counselor.
- Swimming is available daily in a man made pond. (Children will be in a buoyed off area and will wear a life belt at all times, supervision is provided by a life guard)
- Children will have a chance to participate in crafts and games which are oriented around horses.
- All of our counselors have their St. John's Ambulance certification and have passed a counselor training course.
